Smoky Hummus

Smoked paprika gives this hummus an unexpected twist. The great thing about homemade hummus is that it is quick, easy and you can make so many variations by adding other flavorful ingredients into the mix.

Smoky Hummus

    • 2 cans (15 oz each) chickpeas, drained
    • 2 lemons, juiced
    • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp cumin
    • 2 tsp smoked paprika
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper
    • 1 tsp tabasco
    • 4 tablespoons tahini
    • 1/2 cup olive oil


    1. Rinse chickpeas.
    2. Add all ingredients, except olive oil, to a food processor.
    3. Pulse until well blended.
    4. With motor running, drizzle olive oil into the processor chute and blend until smooth.
    5. Spoon into a bowl.
    6. Garnish by drizzling a little olive oil on top and sprinkling with smoked paprika.
